Wax for braces questions?

hi i just got braces a couple of days ago and i have some questions about the wax that u put on the brackets to make the braces stop cutting the inside of your mouth. i have to um i guess globs of wax on the right side and one on the left side all the way in the back on the very last tooth. so here are my questions. Can u eat with the wax in your mouth? Can you sleep with it in? are you suppose to change it often. should i brush my teeth with it in or would it just come out? does anything happen if you swallow it?(i didn't swallow it ir anything just wondering) thanks
