I think that in order to truly help people you must care about them. As a therapist if there was someone that I was unable to establish a rapport with, I would personally refer them out. I can't speak for everyone of course as there are good and bad people in every walk of life. I would suggest that you switch therapists if you have tried unsuccessfully to develop a positive rapport with someone and can truly say that you've given it your all or at least as much as you can give.

Clear mucous discharge at 36 weeks pregnant?

My doctor can't get back to me for a couple days so I'm asking on here. I'm 36 weeks & 4 days pregnant and this morning when I went to the bathroom there was this huge glob of clear, odorless, completely colorless, stringy, goopy discharge that came out when I wiped. I'm pretty sure it's normal since it's clear and everything but I was wondering generally what this means. Will the baby to coming sooner like a couple weeks early? Or is this just a normal thing that happens around this point in the pregnancy? Cause I am sooo okay with him coming early, haha.

I'm in ROTC, well i'm contracted but it's the summer before my freshman year. so i've been doing optional PT with the other cadets. Usually only a handful show up. Wednesday the 2 cadets i ran with were both guys, well over six foot, and i'm a 5'7 girl who's 4 years younger than them. so they had longer and stronger legs than me. after i chased them 2 miles up a hill and sat on the sidewalk puking they informed me they were both on the college track team. wtf?! anyways, no surprise my legs are killing me today (this happened yesterday) but there's another training session tomorrow. Should I go if my legs still are sore? i'm the only incoming freshman who's doing this optional pt with them, and one of the few cadets over all, even though it's strongly encouraged, so i don't think i'll look like a wuss if i don't show up tomorrow morning (friday). but i still don't want to just slack.

How long does plastic roofing cement take to dry?

I used Black Jack roofing cement to fill a small gap where a piece of flashing was missing. I put a pretty good size bead/glob to ensure I filled in the small gap and the gap between the roof and the bottom piece of hardiplank. So, you can imagine how thick it is. It has be a good day and a half since I have done it and it's just as wet as when it came out of the tube. Is this normal? And, if it stays like will the force of a heavy rain mess the bead up? Coughing so much because of mucus in my throat (i'm tired of this) plz help any solutions or recommendations?

I've had excessive mucus in my throat for many years. It all started when I had a bad cold at the age of 12. I still have it. I had a cough that lasted for many months after I had gotten over the cold. After the coughing finally stopped, I've had the mucus in my throat ever since. I'm now 15 years old. That is a long time to suffer. I have to constantly clear my throat because I feel that I will be unable to speak or even breathe if I don't. It feels like there is a glob of mucus just hanging right where my vocal cords and wind pipe are. There are times when it isn't as bad and then there are times when I feel I will choke on it. It is worse in the mornings and after I eat anything. I don't even have to eat dairy products or drink milk for it to happen. That's why I don't think it is a lactose intolerance or allergy. I don't have heartburn or any other acid reflux symptom that I can think of. I know someone who has a similar problem and a doctor told her she had acid reflux. But the medicine he gave her didn't help. For me, the mucus in my throat is many times accompanied by an excessive amount of thick, clear mucus in my nose but not always. My mother has had the same problem for many years, also, constantly coughing up the mucus. My sister is just now beginning to have the same problem. Neither of us have ever smoked a day in our lives and neither of us live with a smoker. I've been to a doctor who gave me samples of every allergy medicine out there. None of them worked. As a matter of fact, the Allegra, Flonase and Rhinohort sprays that I tried gave me allergy symptoms that I never have, such as sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes, making me worse. I've recently tried Mucinex and so far am not impressed with it, either. It has really become a problem lately because people at work are complaining that my constant throat clearing is getting on their nerves. They think it's just a nervous habit and even had the supervisor approach me about it. One person even sent me a nasty e-mail, telling me to stop. She almost got fired for being so nasty to me. It hurt my feelings and made me angry because I can't help it. My mother went to an ear, nose and throat specialist and all he did was give her medicine that didn't work. We are beside ourselves on what to do. I wish we could find a doctor who would be willing to find out what is causing it instead of giving us medicine that doesn't work and send us out the door. If anyone out there can shead some light on this problem I would appreciate it so much!

If I can't lift much weight the first few times deadlifting, does it mean I am not naturally very strong?

I am a 36 year old guy who is 5'8" and weigh about 171 pounds. For the past two years every other day I have been doing pull ups (5 sets of 10), push ups (75), planks, sit ups (50), leg lifts (50), bodyweight squats (30), and bodyweight lunges (24). I recently heard that deadlifting is the truest test of strength. So I tried to deadlift for the first time almost four weeks ago and was embarrassed and humiliated. I only started out at about 120 pounds (3 sets of 8 reps)! The next week I was doing 135 (three sets of 8 reps)! Then, just recently, in my last deadlifting session I was only doing sets of 145 pounds and it felt somewhat heavy. There are bone skinny 105 pound and 110 pound women on youtube who are doing 300 pounds! And even the females who are new to deadlifting are all doing about 200 pounds in their first few weeks. There was this one tiny bone skinny 105 woman in particular who started out deadlifting 115 pounds and then a month later she maxed at 180 pounds! It has been over three weeks for me and I probably couldn't do 160! What is wrong with me!? Am I just naturally an extremely weak man? Why was my starting weight so much lower than everyone else's? Most women on youtube can do 150 pounds or more their first time deadlifting. People in forums say you should easily be able to deadlift your weight the first time. I can't do near that and I am an athletic guy. Even if I haven't been doing deadlifts, I have been doing bodyweight squats and lunges for the past two years. So, the fact that I am so extremely weak at the deadlift is a red flag that something is not right. I studied real hard and I learned how to do proper form in the deadlift, too. I am getting proper rest in between deadlifting sessions, too. The problem here is lack of strength. My grip is definitely strong enough because of the pull ups I did. Most people (especially women) can deadlift a lot but they have problems with the grip but the grip is not my problem. My problem is that I might have the weakest lower back and glutes and leg muscles of any man in the world. This is humiliating! I keep thinking, "Is something wrong? Why am I so naturally weak? No grown man at my weight is this weak. Do I have cancer or something?"

I am a year-round volleyball player and my school season has just started. Every year during club season I put on some extra body fat due to less practice and workout sessions. Okay, so i'm 13 years old (girl, b-day March 20), 5'6, big boned (like im not a skinny little twig), and I weigh 120 lbs. Your deck is more annoyance than destruction. A well put together deck can break it easy...albeit might take a while because of all the stalling that makes the duel go quickly from exciting to boring. Either ways you'll have to take out 1 card destruction and put some effects in there that do something besides prolong the duel...for example some burn cards since you are stalling anyway.

That's an interesting deck first of all. I'm pretty sure Temple of the Kings is banned. I'd use Magical Mallet over reload because you can pick how many cards to put back into your deck whereas with reload you put your whole hand back in. I'm puzzled on why you have Heated Heart in your deck though. I don't see any Hero's listed so what good is that. Brain Control is banned too I think. Most of your cards don't seem to be very good together though. It's like you combined several decks together. Lastly, there is another form of Goblin Attack Force. It's called Goblin Elite Attack Force and it's got 1500 defence points which is a pretty good improvement. I hope I helped a bit. ;)

My parents force me to get straight A's!?

Sometimes i get so overwhelmed by certain emotions that i go into this weird freak out session and i don't know what it is. its only happened a couple of times, the first time was after i found out i had to do a ten minute presentation. i went home and i had started shaking and crying, and then my heart started beating really fast and i felt like i couldn't breathe. i didn't know what to do and i couldn't put anything into perspective i just felt like there was no hope and i was very scared. i just end up siting on the ground freaking out untill i feel better, which is usually like 10ish minutes later. then sometimes i get so angry that i lose control like that and i feel like there's just no hope at all, and i end up doing the same thing with the same symptioms i explained above. it happened again yesterday because i was upset about something and i started shaking and crying and i felt like i couldn't breathe and my heart was beating fast, all that. it also starts to happen sometimes when i feel like i cant breathe because i have asthma and it freaks me out. so are these panic attacks or am i just really upset?

Ear wax was a very dark brown, possibly black.?

I was cleaning my ear with a q tip today and noticed that the ear wax in my left ear was very dark. I swiped it again and went in a little deaper and pull out a good size glob of ear wax that looked very dark brownish, maybe even black. Last night I had the oddest dream, first it started off that I was at my old house when I used to live with my parents, there is a river the runs by the property but the odd thing was they had a yellow submarine come out of the river, I got in the sub and met a Beautiful women but she was green and very tall, the trip didn't last long because I was back home and a giant glob of peanut butter started to chase me to the barn in the back yard, I raced to the hay loft and found a man standing there with a gun, I looked down adn saw a brick and picked it up to kill the man, I woke up after the gun shot went off and I had a huge pain in my chest when I woke up. The strange thing is how vivid this dream was and how I can remember every single detail and texture.

Could I get into music school after such a late start?

I started the violin in 5th grade. I am now going into 8th grade. In 7th grade i was the concertmistress in my 7/8 grade orchestra. The pieces that i have recently played are Hayden's Concerto no. 2 in G, Bachs Violin double, La Folia by Corelli, Allegro by Fiocco, and lastly mazas Etude no. 10. I was in Michigans 2011 All state orchestra. I am attending blue lake this year for two sessions. 3rd session i am going for violin. Im hoping to get i to symphony orchestra considering i was in Concert last year. 4th session I am going for composition. I got 1st place in michigans junior composition contest for middle school. I try to practice 1-2 hours a day. sometimes on weekends i get to 2.5. Am i on the right track? I know that i started pretty late to want to be a proffesional violinist. I also play piano. I have been playing piano for 4 years and just finished bachs invention no. 8. I practice piano for 1 hour a day. I practice volantarily in case you thought i was being forced. I love music. So, question time. Should i step up my practice time? What are some fun pieces at my difficulty level for violin? Am I on the right track to become a professional musician? I am hoping to go to The University of Miami. that could change considering my age. hehe. And lastly, would taking AP music theory in high school help my cause? thanks :)!

My son (5) likes doing chores, so this could make a huge difference. Large amount of mucous discharge?

I am 3 days past due. I originally lost my plug weeks ago, although I know it can regenerate itself. Since last night I have been having an enormous amount of discharge, half of it has been blood tinged with brown and pink blood. But it's been a HUGE amount of discharge. Every time I go to the bathroom I'm wiping away globs of mucous and I lost what looked like the plug I lost the first time only this time it had blood in it. Ovulation? Am I now or is it coming?

I am doing an IUI on Wed morning and I give myself the trigger shot at 8 tonight. My question is I went to the bathroom around 1 today and I had a glob of Cervical Mucus. I have always heard that when that happens you are ovulating. I have checked my CM and its not stringy or like eggwhites since then. This is our last go with IUI and I need the timing to be perfect. Doctors will be able to view the patient's entire medical history and information such as to what the patient is allergic to, etc. For the presentation, I want to add a video footage in the beginning that will show the hassle a patient may have to go through with paper-based records. I am thinking that a patient goes to a new physician, and he prescribes him something that conflicts with some other ailment the patient may be suffering from (maybe diabetes or high blood pressure?). This happens to the patient a couple of times due to the various ailments he has. Finally his physician asks him to bring along all his medical records, and at the end, the patient shows up with a huge bundle of medical records. Do you like this idea? Does it make sense? Could you suggest something else? It could be a satirical footage or a sad one. Being a software engineer my idea in the medical field is very limited. But I will be proposing this idea for actual implementation to our honorable prime minister. Day one was june 12th, I took the pill days 3 thru 7 of cycle, my fertile day was day 14 june 25. We had sex the 24th late at night, I am due between the 9th and 12th of july as clomid may have altered the days of my cycle. When can I take a test that will be accurate? what you can do is use your pads, what Ive found helps me is taping the beginning of your big toe, next to your knuckle. tape your pinky toe because there can be some friction and get blisters. and whatever part of your feet looks affected you should tape (toes, heals, top of your foot where your shoe rounds out.) then put your pad on and if you need too you can put lambs wool in between your padded toes and the pointe of the shoe. You need to put the ear drops everyday for about 2 weeks to completely kill all mites. Otherwise, any eggs will hatch to mites and the problem starts again. Ok so about 3 days ago i lost a big glob of mucus (presuming my plug) it had no blood in it. I have been constipated all of my pregnancy :( But a couple of days ago, i pooped really well and lot's of it! Now today i have just noticed some discolored discharge in my undies (brown). I called the doctor and she said it sounds like my bloody show. I am 37 weeks pregnant. I haven't had any contractions out of the ordinary aside from a few braxton hicks here and there. Does this mean i will go into labor soon?? Will the baby be ok if born at 37 weeks?

How can i improve for cross country?

So pretty much, i am super pissed right now. I didn't do spring track, not saying why, but i didn't do it. But i still ran. I just focoused on building up a big base, which i did. Now real summer xc training started with the team. There are some kids who barley have ran before, a fe kids who havent ran in months, and there beating me. I know its not a race but i am giving it almost 100 % and there going like at a moderate pace. I am frustrated because i felt like the whole base i built was a waste of time. I dont think i am burning out because i took a few weeks off between. And it's not that i my pace isnt even that slow, i guess there jsut going really fast. I was thinking about doing double sessions 2 times a week for the first 4 weeks, then doubles 3 times a week the last 4 weeks. I am only going to be a sophmore, do you think i am to young? When real practices start we do doubles almost everyday for a about 2 weeks. I really just want to havea great season, but i feel awful. My legs are tight when i am not running but they feel pretty normal when i a, it's weird. So i know i wrote alot, but please help me out!

Vegan question - etiquette?

I am in community college and sometimes grab lunch in the cafeteria after class because it is very convenient and I am in a rush to get to work after class. Anyways, I am a vegan and my only real option is a hummus wrap. I get hummus and all the veggies that they offer. I always got the sense that the woman working there was annoyed with me for ordering something not on the menu (never mind that she gives me a pathetically small amount of hummus), but I just ignore it. Yesterday, she took the spoon out of the mayo so there was a large glob on it, while she scooped up some hummus. Before putting on the wrap I politely spoke up and asked her to use a clean spoon because I don’t want mayo in it. She did, but seemed irritated, but I just ignored it. (For all she knows I am allergic). Today I went to get a hummus wrap and she told me that they no longer carry hummus! I don’t know if it had anything to do with the day before, but it almost seems like it! I think she is the manager, too. Should I complain?

I know that this has been asked repeatedly but every situation and person is different. My lmp was the 4th, I ovulated on the 14th, had cramps and a little glob of pink/brown mixed with cm on the 21st.....my bf & I had sex almost every night, even the day before & after ovulation. I think I may have lost my mucus plug today but I'm not sure if that is what it is or if it was just gross weird discharge. Sorry in advance for the TMI but it was on my toilet tissue and it was a clear glob with some white mixed in it. (Not a big glob, just like a little tiny marble) and there was some stretchy goo along with it on the toilet tissue. No blood or anything..I saw pictures of mucus plugs but they all had blood and were bigger than what I had. Does that sound like just weird discharge, or the mucus plug?

Ok let me make this short as possible. My ex girlfriend has recently filed a protective order against me. We have a son and she refused to let me see him. We agreed to a custody mediation and the 1st time we went she told the mediator that she loved me and wanted to work things out. I agreed so we set up a relationship counseling session. She lives with her parents so they pretty much tell her what to do. She called her mom and told her about the relationshoip counseling session we set up and her mother said that if she continues to try to be with me, they are gonna kick her out. I told her if she doesnt stop talking to me then she needs to let me out of the truck. She refused so i started getting angry. I told her i would call the cops and the state troopers would pull her over and arrest her for holding me against my will. She stopped and i got out of the truck.She came bakc 4 times trying to get me back in the vehicle. I was 40 nmiles from home with no ride. I told her no each time to avoid any more altercation. i got a ride from a feriend of mine and went to his house for a little while while he went to his classes. I got a call from the sherriff and she had filed a report. I now have a protective order aginast me because she told them that i threatened her life, and i was going to get someone to whoop her ***. Also she claims i grabbed the steering wheel and jerked her off the road. I did none o those things. now we have a court date set and i want to know if i can go to jail for her accusations. What kind of proof will she need? Can i go to jail for not baing able to pay court costs up front? Can i get a free attorney? Dont know whats wrong with me!please help!!!?

I am currently on my menstrual cycle and I've had really bad lightenedness and I've fainted 3 times. I was at the store and had to crouch and put my head between my knees. I feel really weak. No pain or cramps but when I got home and sat on the toilet globs and globs of blood came out. I am on the pill and have been for almost 5 months. I was tested for anemia and all that a year ago and my hemoglobin and iron was all normal. I do tend to have lower blood pressure , I'm skinny. I'm worried cuz I've never bled this much and its still continuing as a heavy period. Please help!!!

If I can't lift much weight the first few times deadlifting, does it mean I am not naturally very strong?

I am a 36 year old guy who is 5'8" and weigh about 171 pounds. For the past two years every other day I have been doing pull ups (5 sets of 10), push ups (75), planks, sit ups (50), leg lifts (50), bodyweight squats (30), and bodyweight lunges (24). I recently heard that deadlifting is the truest test of strength. So I tried to deadlift for the first time almost four weeks ago and was embarrassed and humiliated. I only started out at about 120 pounds (3 sets of 8 reps)! The next week I was doing 135 (three sets of 8 reps)! Then, just recently, in my last deadlifting session I was only doing sets of 145 pounds and it felt somewhat heavy. There are bone skinny 105 pound and 110 pound women on youtube who are doing 300 pounds! And even the females who are new to deadlifting are all doing about 200 pounds in their first few weeks. There was this one tiny bone skinny 105 woman in particular who started out deadlifting 115 pounds and then a month later she maxed at 180 pounds! It has been over three weeks for me and I probably couldn't do 160! What is wrong with me!? Am I just naturally an extremely weak man? Why was my starting weight so much lower than everyone else's? Most women on youtube can do 150 pounds or more their first time deadlifting. People in forums say you should easily be able to deadlift your weight the first time. I can't do near that and I am an athletic guy. Even if I haven't been doing deadlifts, I have been doing bodyweight squats and lunges for the past two years. So, the fact that I am so extremely weak at the deadlift is a red flag that something is not right. I studied real hard and I learned how to do proper form in the deadlift, too. I am getting proper rest in between deadlifting sessions, too. The problem here is a complete lack of core strength. My grip is definitely strong enough because of the pull ups I did. Most people (especially women) can deadlift a lot but they have problems with the grip but the grip is not my problem. My problem is that I might have the weakest lower back and glutes and leg muscles of any man in the world. This is humiliating! I keep thinking, "Is something wrong? Why am I so naturally weak? No grown man at my weight is this weak. Do I have cancer or something?"
