I have white goopy looking stuff on the back of my throat..?

I had a sore throat yesterday and its better today but I have white spots all over the back of my throat... it kinda looks like little globs of whipped cream as weird as that sounds lol... it doesn't hurt now but its just really weird and they don't go away, I just tried drinking and even gargling with water and they are still there... what could it be?
