What happened to you when you got the depo shot?

I got the depo birth control shot and some weird stuff has been happening to me. I've been spotting for 3 weeks and last night I had the worst cramps in the world. Ive never felt pain like this and this morning a huge glob of like mucus came out of me. It made me feel sick and nautious.... Should I go to the doctor??
