Summer School / Last Minute?

While school was In session my counselor told me that I Didn't have to go to Summer school, cause my grades was high, Soo I didn't go.... 3 weeks later the school Is calling my mothers phone saying that I'm expel because I didn't go to Summer School and I had been Absent every since the first day??? I want to know is there a chance I might have to repeat my grade again? I'm really worried and needs some anwsers
