Is there something wrong with him?

my grandpa is kinda strange. when he spits on the ground he will spit a second time so that the first spit glob wont be alone. if one of his buttons falls of he will take the thread of his shirt and put them together because he doesn't want to upset them. he doesn't like to leave the fan or air conditioner on for to long because he feels bad that they are working to hard. i thought maybe he was just getting old but he has been like that since he was a little boy. i thought maybe there was something psychologically wrong with him.
