Why am searching for someone to like me?

I remember when i was younger i used to be careless about love. Now im freshman in HS & i just want someone to care for me..I used to like this boy when school was in session but now its summer & when i get together with my friends , they're all with their boyfriends & im always by myself. Everytime i talk to a guy I idk how to carryout the convo & i always end up becoming a their friend. Help!?,I'd really appreciate it :)
